Jerr-Dan self loader repo truck with boom, sling, auto loader wheel lift w/SIDEWAYS movement. Selling the whole truck, but you are mainly buying the bed and getting the truck for free. This has a very rare feature on the wheel lift—the entire underlift boom will move sideways at the touch of a button. The claws open and close, the underlift bom goes up and down, and in and out—all with the touch of toggle switches. The upper boom has controls on each side of the bed, and it is fully hydraulic as well. This has a single line winch n it. The bed is all aluminum with factory diamond plate decking. There are tool boxes n each side of the bed. The right side tool box door is missing but I have a door from a utility bed that can be cut down to fit.
There are little to no hydraulic leaks at all. The hydraulics are ran from a engine mounted belt driven hydraulic pump. The wheel lift movements are controlled by a hand held control box and toggle switches.
The Code 3 light bar is in good shape, and will flip down to allow you to get in parking garages.
The bed would be great to swap to a newer cab and chassis. It’s a normal dually pickup bed length. I had planned to dothis myself but my needs have changed now and I need a rollback worse than the self loader.
The old cab and chassis is a 1986 Ford F350 with a good 351 HO, and automatic transmission. The truck has ac but I doubt it has freon in it. The floors are rusty, one cab corner and core support have rust, but the rockers and mounts are solid. The heater core leaks some but not too bad. The engine sounds good and has no noises or smoke. The odometer reads 71k but there is no way to tell if it has rolled over 100k or not. The interior is good enough that it could be only 71k.
New prts include: starter, fuel pump, fuel sending unit, master cylinder, brake lines, hydraulic filter, headlights, dimmer switch, belts, spark plugs, and ignition module.
There is a leak in the exhaust where the donut gasket meets the manifold. I can’t get it tight enough to seal the leak because the studs need replaced.
The tires are old and weathered but have deep tread on the rears, and even wear on the steer tires. The front end seems tight.
The carburetor was replaced but this one either needs rebuilt or adjusted. I tried to make it better but made it worse.
The tires are 16″, and it has dually wheels. I’m not sure what gears are in the rear end but it seems like you should be able to run it down the interstate at 70-75 and not have it wound too tight.
